Senior Care Label Kit

Moving into long-term care or a retirement home?
MAKE CLOTHING AND BELONGINGS EASY TO IDENTIFY

One kit, three label types: 192 clothing labels, 96 personal item labels and 12 anti-theft labels.

  • CLOTHING for summer and winter, enough for a two-week rotation. There are a lot of items to label. For example, socks alone require 30 to 40 labels, and so on.
  • PERSONAL ITEMS such as a hairbrush, toothbrush, glasses case, denture case, tissue box, remote control, etc. VALUABLES such as a television, mobility scooter, walker, cane, wheelchair, special armchair, fan, etc.
  • Iron-on clothing name labels help keep personal laundry identified in shared laundry facilities. Choose iron-on labels, sew-on labels, or one pack of each. Follow the application instructions and the garment’s care label.
Sew-on labels are supplied without adhesive.
  • Personal item name labels identify everyday belongings such as glasses cases, hairbrushes and remote controls. These durable vinyl labels have an extra-strong adhesive.
  • Anti-theft identification labels help identify valuable belongings such as televisions, walkers and wheelchairs. A visible name helps staff and families recognize the owner when items are moved or stored together.

To label clothing, you will need a lot of labels. Care centres ask families to provide enough clothing for a two-week rotation. Socks alone add up to about 30 labels. Add summer, fall, winter and spring clothing, and you will need a great many labels in total. You also need to label all of the person’s personal items: hairbrush, cane, walker, remote control, denture or glasses case, etc. Residents with Alzheimer’s disease wander during the day, go into rooms and pick things up. Every morning, care staff find many items, which are returned if they are labelled; otherwise they are lost.
